Top Contenders

The TOTO Dutch Darts Masters 2024 will feature some of the top contenders for the World Series of Darts title, as well as some local heroes and rising stars. Here are some of the players to watch out for:

  • Michael van Gerwen: The Dutch number one and world number two is the favourite to win his home event, having reached the final in Bahrain last week. He will face his close friend Vincent van der Voort in the first round, and could meet his old rival Raymond van Barneveld in the quarter-finals.
  • Luke Littler: The 17-year-old sensation is the top seed and the reigning Bahrain Darts Masters champion, having defeated Van Gerwen in the final. He also hit a nine-dart finish in Bahrain, and is the current PDC World Youth Champion. He will play Dirk van Duijvenbode, the 2022 Dutch Darts Masters runner-up, in the first round.
  • Dimitri Van den Bergh: The Belgian star is the defending Dutch Darts Masters champion, having won the inaugural edition in 2022. He is also the two-time PDC World Youth Champion and the 2020 World Matchplay champion. He will face a tough challenge against Gerwyn Price, the world number five, in the first round.
  • Raymond van Barneveld: The five-time World Champion and Dutch legend is making his second appearance on home soil since his comeback in 2021. He reached the last 16 at the World Championship, and will hope to go further in Den Bosch. He will play Rob Cross, the 2018 World Champion, in the first round.
  • Luke Humphries: The World Champion and world number one saw his 20-match winning streak end in Bahrain last week, but he is still one of the most consistent and dangerous players on the circuit. He will play Jermaine Wattimena, the Dutch number two, in the first round.
