How players qualify for a Euro Tour tournament

The 2025 season qualification criteria caused controversy among players due to rule changes which severely impacts the chances of players breaking into the world’s top 32. Whilst some changes have been made for the 2026 tour it still sees the vast majority of the tour disadvantaged and thus with fewer chances to break into the elite of the game. The Top 16 in the world and the top 16 of the pro tour order of merit are seeeded into the tournament with 16 qualifiers from host nation, regional, and tour cvard holder qualifiers. The only main rule change is that Euro Tour reserve players are no longer seeded in round 1

Top 32 dart players qualify for the PDC European Championship

The top 32 players collecting the most prize money during the 15 PDC European Tour events qualify for the season ending European Championship tournament. The 2025 European Darts Championship will be held on October 23 in Dortmund, Germany.
